Eight steps stand between a ripening mango on a Maharashtra farm and a Dubai supermarket shelf. Here's how KNP runs every one of them.

Fresh produce is unforgiving. A bruised mango at origin becomes a rejected pallet at destination. A missed cold-chain hour becomes a week of shelf-life lost. So we built KNP around the discipline of doing the same things, the same way, every single shipment.
What you see below isn't an aspirational diagram — it's a checklist our team works through, container after container, season after season.
Discuss Your ProgrammeOur agronomists profile every partner farm against soil quality, water source, pesticide history and historical yield consistency. Only farms passing all four checks join the long-term contract roster.
Picking dates are timed not to the calendar but to your destination market — for short-shelf-life fruit, every harvest day is calculated against shipping transit time so produce arrives at peak.
Within hours of harvest, produce arrives at our Kondotty pack-house and enters pre-cooling chambers — pulling field heat out before any further handling. This single step adds days of shelf-life downstream.
Multi-point hand inspection — sizing, defect screening, sugar content, blemish percentage — before each unit is graded into the appropriate export class. Sub-grade produce goes to domestic outlets; only export-grade enters the line.
Each export lot is sampled and lab-tested at NABL-accredited facilities — pesticide residue, microbial load, heavy-metal screening — before clearance for packing. Reports travel with the consignment.
Food-grade carton, mesh and modified-atmosphere packaging — branded to importer specifications. Multi-language labelling (English, Arabic, market-specific) and barcoding applied per pallet.
Reefer trucks transport pallets to Cochin / Tuticorin port, or Calicut Airport for air freight. Temperature is logged end-to-end, customs documentation is pre-cleared, and the container is sealed for transit.
Live container tracking through ocean and arrival ports. Your KNP account manager confirms delivery, attaches lab reports and origin documents, and closes the loop with a delivery confirmation. Then we plan the next shipment.
From the moment harvest enters our pack-house, temperature is logged. No gap, no excuse — the chain doesn't break.
No automated grading replaces a trained human eye. Every pallet is signed off by a named inspector before release.
Lab certificates accompany every consignment — pesticide residue, microbial, heavy metals. Tested before, not after.
Each carton carries a lot number that traces back to the harvest batch and the partner farm. Recalls take minutes, not days.
Serious importers are welcome to visit our Kondotty facility. We'll show you the lines, the cold rooms, and how every step in the process actually runs.
